I work in an ethnically diverse public charter high school in Southern California. My students are fantastic and while most of the students are low income they are extremely motivated. They are a hard working and creative bunch who want to be the first in their family to go to college. I work with 125 different students in my history classes and the biggest problem we are facing is that the history books do not adequately address the heritage of my students. Many of the students do not know about their own family history and would like to have a way to record their family histories and share them with the community.
