My students who are hesitant to try out problems in a large classroom setting view my room as a safe place where they can try things out without getting frustrated. Students can show me what they know by working out the problems on the whiteboard. Kindergarten students can practice letter formation on the lined side. With a rolling whiteboard I can deliver instruction with ease in different classrooms. I teach Orton Gillingham Phonics Program and Touchmath daily. I plan to use the whiteboard to show them how to do things. Students can show me what they have learned on the whiteboard and that boosts their confidence level. They are also excited to show their peers what they have learned.
