I teach Student Leadership and manage Student Activities at an 8th year charter school in SF. Our school is as diverse as the city itself, with students coming from all neighborhoods and backgrounds. We truly believe that all students, regardless of income, parental education, learning difference, or home language can be prepared to be successful in college. Our goal is to create personalized pathways for success for each student by empowering students with knowledge about how they learn best. We teach students that their learning differences are their learning strengths. We create students who can advocate for themselves and who, when they leave us, are prepared to take on high school, and then conquer college.
