Each school day, approximately 150+ inquisitive, energetic, and enthusiastic 6th grade students join me for their math instruction. My students come from a variety of backgrounds, socio-economic statuses, ethnicities, and cultures. They, therefore, represent the kaleidoscope of the community in which they live. Our school is a charter school located in a rural area of North Carolina. Our core principles are to prepare, nurture, lead, and engage. We diligently work to educate the whole child through the integration of art, music, Spanish, and the Core Knowledge curriculum.

About my class
