I live in a small town in a rural area. My classroom is a self contained classroom with a diverse make up. Because our small size we don’t have a lot of placement options. I have students with Autism, Down Syndrome, Emotional disturbance and other intellectual disabilities. Having students will such different needs means we are working hard every moment of the day to meet everyone’s needs. Sensory is a big part of that.
