My students are taking high school biology. Most are 9th graders, but we do have some 10th, 11th, and 12th graders taking biology. For most students, this is their first experience with high school science. The amount of information they learn in one year can be overwhelming. However, my students are willing to work hard to achieve proficiency in the class and on the state exams. Our school is located in California. Most of our students are Latino/a and have low SES.
