Fire up our classroom with technology! My students are in need of new technology to aid in their learning. The new Common Core standards encourage students to integrate literacy into all areas of the curriculum. What better way to do that than with a Kindle Fire? Each of my students are unique, but they all love learning. Some of them have access to technology at home, others do not. Their backgrounds are vastly different from one student to the next. Every day my students participate in work station rotations. Each student is able to work on his or her own level. During this time, students would have a tablet center where we will work on reading and writing tasks. These activities will be differentiated and fit to each student's strengths and weaknesses. The students will be able to listen to stories, write stories, and create various projects, all with the Kindle Fires with protective cases. Using the Kindle Fire will allow them to connect to the world and prepare for their future.
