My students attend a school in inner-city Los Angeles. As with many schools in the area, we are facing a very real budget deficit. Our school is a charter school that offers an alternative to parents that want a better education for their students. This alternative education allows students the luxury of smaller class sizes and teachers who know them and really want them to succeed. My students are very bright and have a lot of potential, but they need basic supplies as well as enrichment to ensure that they attain their goals.
