My first grade students are terrific! They come to school eager to learn and happy to join me for a day of activities! We celebrate successes and share our goals. Our school is in the great state of MI! We are a community of learners even though many of the children have daily worries that children their age shouldn't have. We have a large population of free & reduced lunch, a high unemployment rate in the area and many single parent homes. Despite these family challenges, my students love to come to school where they can interact with friends, be in a safe and caring environment and learn something new everyday. These kiddos are willing to give their best, they dig deep everyday to accomplish what is asked of them. They are a community of learners!
