Staten Island Technical High School is a specialized school which services the gifted and talented with an emphasis on Science, Technology, Engineering and Career Development. Community Service and Work Based Learning are centerpieces of our career and technical education program. We teach advanced computer, assisted design, have a Maker Space and have advanced placement courses for all students. Technology is fully integrated in our instruction. For the last seven years we have fully embraced career development through internships (700 paid internships per year) via a Backpack to Briefcases Career exploration series. Our students engage in project based learning and have the opportunity to incubate inventions, businesses and community based organizations as part of our Maker Space/Incubator Initiative.
