My students are brilliant children who have challenges such as Autism, Learning Disabilities, and Attention Deficit Disorder. These challenges make it difficult for my students to progress in the regular classroom on grade level curriculum. My school is an amazing place that cares deeply for each of our students, but we are rural and a low income area and don't have all of the tools to make our students' with disabilities learning experiences the best it can be. Our school integrates our students with disabilities into the regular education classrooms as much as possible so that the students can learn from their typically developing peers. We have wonderful paraprofessionals who aid our students with disabilities in working on their personal goals, as well as making sure that they are able practice being social with same age children. Our school is AMAZING.
