My school is in a rural area, the students are 94% Hispanic and 94.5% receive free and reduced lunches. The students lack the experiences and the knowledge of more urban areas and thrive on opportunities to learn more about the world outside of their hometown. My students are extremely appreciative of anything given or donated to them, even when it is something as simple as a pencil. My class is a resource room which serves students with disabilities ranging from learning disabilities to autism and intellectual disabilities.
