The Cricut machine will be housed in the School's Library to support a the developing Maker Space that can be utilized by all students and staff. This machine will be a significant contribution as it will support STEAM, school climate, SEL, ESL, literacy, and civic engagement objectives. Furthermore, providing an accessible space with materials purposed for creativity and expression is one way we can alleviate anxiety and cultivate inspiration in ourselves and in others. Students will use the Cricut machine to bring their prototypes to life in the Maker Space, to enhance infrastructure (signage) throughout the school, and as a resource for employees to create bulletins, displays, and welcoming messages. The button machine will be used to support Project Based Learning related to civic engagement and social responsibility and will also be a part of the Maker Space.
