My school is 72% free or reduced lunch with 55% of both Kindergarten classes English Language learners. My students are amazing, energetic learners who thrive on hearing great stories in English daily. Most of their English is heard in school so using the listening center is a wonderful way to provide another English role model to my students. They listen daily to stories based on our curriculum content. They are all emergent readers and writers and are all eager to learn and be challenged.
