Our school consists of a diverse population of students with individual learning styles and a need for differentiated instruction and materials that will provide them opportunities for academic success. Many students are from low income households with a single parent or family member caring for them, or a need for both parents to work. Our school community is a family, and we ALL work together to provide them with a safe and welcoming atmosphere and engaging learning materials. A laminator would allow the teachers to protect the anchor charts, and center activities and other reference tools to support the students. Laminated materials will last longer and allow teachers to reuse materials for remedial instruction, center and independent work. All in all, having a laminator will help the teachers save time, and money by being able to reuse for years to come.
