I have a diverse group of energetic first graders who have a love for learning and a wide range of abilities. Regardless of the diversity in their backgrounds and skills, they all respond with excitement to the chance to explore language, math, and science activities on the computer. Current software and educational websites offer engaging reinforcement of skills I teach in class, as well as opportunities to extend and apply those skills in creative ways, suited to each child's individual needs. Our school district has suffered budget cuts over the past several years, and money for modern computers in the primary grades has been very limited.
