The little red hawks are an eager to learn group of kindergartners! Most of them are at school for the first time and did not go to Pre-K. There is a lot to learn and they are excited! Many of them are learning to identify their emotions and to self soothe. We spend 30 minutes every day focused on social Emotional learning. Most of our class is also learning to write/identify their name, letters and numbers. We LOVE number and alphablocks. They absolutely enjoy read alouds. "What Should Danny Do?" Is a favorite that was funded by donors like you! The red hawks are in a structured English immersion class which means we have over 25% of students that are English language learners! We use lots of pictures to help us in our learning and routines. Our classroom is a community and we enjoy learning about each others family traditions. Our love for learning comes alive through art integration as we are an art magnet school.
