Our school is located in suburban Wilmington. However, we have an even amount of students that receive free and/or reduced breakfast and lunch. The average class size in our building of over 500 students, is 22 students. Due to crowding, there aren't enough classrooms. We are the only "combined class" of 35 students in a regular sized classroom. Many of our students are seated far from the board. We need to rearrange them when we do whole group presentations, explanations and sharing of student work. Our students work so hard in spite of these challenges. They know to move their seats when needed during the above listed activities. We would love for every student to be able to see from any spot in our classroom without having to move furniture!
