This project will help give the students confidence. Many students come to school in old clothes and hand-me-downs. By giving the students an area to learn to fix their clothing and the materials to do so they can feel more confident in themselves and ultimately in the classroom. This project will allow students to use the materials to make simple fixes to their clothing and can also be used for small sewing classes if a student has an interest in fixing their clothes. Many students have expressed interest in making blankets or other small items for themselves or family. This sewing machine will make it possible.

About my class
