Students will use these materials to help them organize their notes, work and projects. There are students who take notes or write examples without refering to them again because they have difficulty finding what is important in their notes and work. Students benefit from being able to highlight and flag notes or problems. Creating graphs with different colors can help students visualize the differences and transformations of graphs. I like to have the necessary supplies available for students to use to enhance their notes and examples. When a student in my class was studying for an exam for another class, she asked if I had post it notes. I gave her some which she used to mark pages in her notes that she wanted to go back to. She came in the next day and showed me how she had marked her notes and wrote highlights on the post it notes. At that point I thought, wouldn't it be nice to have the materials to share that idea with all my students.
