I truly believe that students need be comfortable to learn. I do not expect my students to sit still for 6 hours a day as I am unable too as well! However, for students with ADHD, sitting in their seats for even a short period of time can be uncomfortable. As a result, these students often engage in disruptive behaviors such as tapping or pencil drumming as a way to calm themselves which distracts others around them. These exercise ball chairs will help my students with ADHD by giving them the opportunity to be able to move and balance without distracting others.
