The supplies received from the donors will be essential to engage my students in creating clay texture tiles and vessels. Currently, students are limited to making small projects and have been eager to broaden their experiences. For example, learning the techniques for wheel throwing and learning about mass production through tile making. When the tiles and vessels are complete, students will use glazes to enhanced their projects. These hands-on experiences with clay are beneficial for learning as well as self-care. My students are very relaxed in my ceramics class - they often tell me that Ceramics is their favorite class of the day!
