They learn how to be good friends, show respect, be empathetic, understand and cope with big feelings, handle challenges, and so much more! Books can play a huge role in this social and emotional learning! I want my students to see themselves within the pages of the stories they are reading. I want them to feel seen and heard. As a first year teacher, I need your help building an intentional and inspiring classroom library! I chose these books because they discuss big topics like feelings, acceptance, and diversity. The characters in these stories go on to change the world! I want my students to be inspired by the characters in the stories they read every day. I want my student to grow a love for reading while also growing into caring humans!
