Cultural education is so important. We live in a diverse society where young people need to learn the uniqueness of others. African American Heritage is important to history and my students are just now learning about the historical events. Reading about the experiences of the forerunners that paved the way for them today is teaching them to be grateful for the opportunities they have. They need to understand that we have overcome but still have some steps to make this world a better place to live for all people and all ages.

About my class
