The books I've chosen here are a combination of books asked for by my students and ones chosen by me. Many students have asked for many mangas and graphic novels. I tried to choose books that would appeal to the most amount of students, like the Dork Diaries and Diary of a Wimpy Kid Series. I also chose some books that will help students with the emotions and changes they are going through at this point in their lives. I want students to recognize that there are many different reasons to read and books can be helpful in all sorts of ways! Reading books for different types of information and purposes will encourage students to use the resources they have around them and increase their awareness of things in the world while also building their love for reading and their abilities.
