In Geography of the Western Hemisphere which is a required course in 6th Grade we learn about the different regions like Canada, South America, Central America, and Mexico. We begin each region with a map where students learn to see the physical features on maps that they create, label, and shade with colored pencils and markers. As students learn the physical features of each region we move on to the political maps and then on to explore the cultures of each region. Finally, we explore the economic and government systems of the regions and demonstrate an exciting understanding of other parts of our world.

About my class
