I need the following items in my room that are both stimulating and calming. I need items that will help students focus. I have found that lighting makes a huge difference for students and their productivity. My students need basic stuff like deodorant, or to borrow earphones to watch a video for a lesson. They use their cellphones for a variety of reasons and occasionally need a phone charge. I believe the environment and the items in it are important in helping students complete their credit and maintaining focus and drive. Students working on credit need to take the occasional break, which was the reason I added a few stimulating games/activities. I am needing the Apple TV so I can project from my laptop to my television. I used to have a projector, but that was replaced with a TV. I have no way of showing videos or class instructions to the masses. It is something I am having to do individually with students on my laptop. For instance, when I start students in a new course, it is important to walk them through the course. It would save a lot of time if I am able to to this with the entire class. As of now, I have to do it on my laptop with one student at a time or in a small group. Lastly, I feed my students who are working in the classroom. The water kettle is for heating up water for noodles and tea. :D Thank you again for considering the needs of alternative/ "at-risk" students.
