We are very thankful for the opportunity to not only have art class in the school again but also to be learning an entirely new medium! Since our school started almost a decade ago, students have been very lucky to have had music, dance, and 2D art to challenge their aesthetics and their skills. Entering into 3D arts and using their hands to model, mold, and sculpt clay has opened the students to new problem-solving skills and understandings of the world around them. With these tools and supplies, I hope to continue to introduce the students to new ideas in creativity, the science of clay and glaze, and the self-awareness and community building that clay studios have always brought to our human existence for generations.
