Students in intervention classes are reading below grade level. As 6th graders, it can be very difficult to find books they can read on their level. It is even more difficult to create book clubs with these students because we may not have more than one copy of their level book. Book clubs in intervention can help create confidence in their reading. Students who are confident and take pride in their book discussions will become better readers. Being able to complete a chapter book is a huge accomplishment for these students. We are excited to open up a new world for our lifelong readers.
