Many of my students prefer to sit in the floor to work on lessons. Currently, I have no flexible seating or a rug in my classroom. The students sit on the tile floor. Although they don’t mind the floor, adding flexible seating would be a lot more comfortable for them. I also teach meditation to my students. We sit in the floor to share, discuss how we can help others, and focus on breathing techniques and personal intents. Allowing my students to have a specific area to practice meditation, work on lessons, or a quiet place to read would be a true asset to my classroom.
