According to Benjamin Bloom and Norman Webb, creating is the highest level of knowledge. As an art teacher at a center school for special-needs students, I have discovered that our learners thoroughly enjoy expressing themselves creatively through visual arts. In the times in which we live, however, constant cleaning is important to fight the spread of germs and to keep our learners healthy. Using a technological approach (such as a tablet with art game apps) will allow more time for students to engage in a safe way instead of having to devote time to cleaning the manipulatives between classes.
