My students learn much about themselves and the world around them through novels. While we have several options for class reading texts, several are outdated or not engaging to students. Students now are faced with a world that is increasingly diverse and sometimes confusing. Offering a new variety of texts will help them understand what the see around them and help them explore new adventures. As a class, my students will dive into these texts and explore the issues they present as well as continue to develop their literacy skills.
