Graphic Novels will bridge the gap for those who are emerging from picture books into chapter books. They also give our struggling students a much needed break from the anxiety of trying to read a large word only filled chapter book. These students are better able to understand the story due to having artwork to go along with it. Students are also filled with less anxiety because they are able to carry a larger book out of the library just like all of their other classmates. In our library we are very limited on the amount of Graphic Novels we have. The books we do have are almost never on the shelf and always checked out. I am asking for your help in getting more of these very popular but very helpful and necessary books that are helping our students become better readers. Thank you.
