I teach in a special education classroom. In order for me to reach all of my students, I choose to teach using a differentiated curriculum. I have requested flexible seating to be arranged at my center table. With the varying levels of skills, I teach my students in center form. Teaching with manipulatives helps me engage my students. The cash register and number stamps will allow my students real life experiences in working with numbers and money. Social studies is a hard area to find hands-on materials to engage students. These kits will allow me to extend our lessons and promote knowledge retention. In our ELA centers, we have a variety of levels and would love more materials to include in our centers.
