This equipment being requested is in desperate need to our school. Because of the new Covid procedures at our middle school, our PE equipment has been overused, over sanitized, and has come up missing. In the past, lunch time consisted of hanging out in our small cafeteria. Because of the new protocol, we have been spacing out the students in the gym for lunch. It is very cold in our Utah area, and no way that we can send our students outside. Therefore, all of our PE equipment has been used in a recess type setting in order to keep the kids entertained during lunch time. With the new balls and equipment, we will have the resources that we need to continue building these units for student development. Because we are in such short supply, students are not getting the opportunities they need to grow because of lack of balls and appropriate weights. If this request gets approved, it could help us recover and get back on track. These supplies would be taken care of and stored appropriately. I do my best to take great care of our equipment, but this year has been devastating to my program.
