This blanket will make a difference in the learning of my students by allowing students to feel more grounded and focused. Weighted blankets can ease anxiety, reduce a lot of extra movement, and can help calm students. The demographic of students I work with have many differing sensory needs. A weighted blanket would allow for support with those needs and help them to access their education the way their typically developing peers do. The light shades would also support them in accessing because they will not become overstimulated by the bright lights and will be able to better focus on the task at hand. The students I serve want to learn, but have so many obstacles to overcome. This sensory supportive items will help them overcome some of their obstacles and support them in getting the education they deserve! The games will support their learning as well as it will create a more fun and engaging learning environment.
