Scrabble is an intellectually stimulating board game that builds vocabulary and spelling skills. I teach the social studies half of a humanities class with an English teacher and we are always looking for ways to expand vocabulary in our students. These games will also be utilized to stoke the competitive fire our students have. They will be all in on trying to put the word down that scores the most points. The best lessons are the ones where students learn while having fun and I believe these board games epitomize that the most.
