My classes are filled with Bilingual kindergarten students who come from many different cultures, backgrounds and social economic levels. Their first language is Spanish and my goal is to build a strong foundation in Spanish so that they can transition to English effectively. I teach two classes and switch with my partner teacher. Our students receive half of their day in Spanish with me and the other half in English with my partner. At the end of the year they will be able to read and write in both Spanish and English. They are hard working and give it their all everyday. I am so proud of how hard they work everyday to meet and surpass the goals set before them. My school is the most diverse school in our whole district. Even though much of our population is low income (65%) we have very high standards and are proud of the students we serve.
