These books will help create a classroom library that is diverse and gets my students excited about reading. Students need books that are mirrors, windows, and sliding glass door. My students will see themselves in these books. They will see other cultures and backgrounds in these books. They will also be exposed to new worlds that will show them how fun reading is! I have bilingual books to support students who have two languages. I have social emotional books that will help students in learning about themselves and their emotions. Finally, I have some wordless picture books that are great for emerging readers to create their own stories and use their imagination while learning to read.
