I will use the language arts games and materials in small groups to effectively teach the students to read. We work on both phonological awareness skills as well as phonemic awareness skills. The students will also use the materials in centers to review and practice the skills independently. Having a set of books that I can use at teacher table that are at the students' levels will help my students gain confidence in reading. Strong reading skills are priceless. Reading is a lifelong skill and it is vital that I instill a love for it!
