This project will be used to help my students be the world changers that I know they are! Second grade is never too early to start questioning the world around them and thinking of ways to solve problems that may arise in their lives. I created a culture in my classroom that is based on inquiry and empathy. We like to ask ourselves: What can we do to help? My goal is to deliver high-quality, challenging instruction for my students to discover in depth the world they see today through the use of picture books. By using picture books, my students will see people who look like them solve problems they have questions about. I want to spark curiosity for my students, and most importantly teach them that helping solve worldwide problems creates a heart for others.
