In our classroom, students work toward specific behavioral and academic goals throughout their school day. Mostly, my students work toward achieving target behaviors (such as using “I feel…” statements instead of lashing out, asking teacher permission before leaving the classroom, advocating for breaks when dysregulation occurs). We use point sheets to monitor their progress toward these target behaviors, and award students with classroom currency for their progress, which they can spend in our classroom store on Fridays. The items that your donation will provide us will motivate students to work hard on their academic and behavioral goals by allowing for a greater variety of incentives! My students are highly motivated to earn coins and spend them on items of their choosing by working toward their behavioral goals. This Donor’s Choose project will provide us with pins, stickers, art supplies, activities, food, posters, and other items that can be added to our classroom store. With your help, students will be able to earn EVEN BETTER rewards for all of the hard work they are doing! We have curated a list of highly motivational items. Some of the items, like stickers, pins, individual candy items, and small puzzles will be easier for students to earn using their classroom currency. Others, such as the posters, gum, or nicer enamel pins, will be slightly more challenging to earn. Finally, the items such as the gumball machine, art supplies, drawing books, and LEGO sets will be the items that students have to save for over time. These items will all help motivate students to achieve their behavioral and academic goals! Please consider donating or sharing our project. Our students will be so excited to earn what your generosity will bring to them!
