ASD scholars are very unique learners. They need material that will keep them focused and engaged. Independence is another important factor. The materials ordered will afford them that opportunity. If the students are focused and engaged they are able to learn. Some Autistic students have very short attention spans, so it is imperative they receive materials that will help grasp and keep their attention. I am very committed to creating a loving, caring, environment for my students. My next goal is to create an apartment-like area where they will feel comfortable and learn independent skills.
