Covid has limited us, if not prevented us from interacting in lab/investigative curriculum. My students for safety need goggles to protect their eyes during investigations using chemicals. We also collaborate closely while investigating our environment around us. We look at one-celled organisms in our local waters and the soil. Our students are engaged in describing and discussing the importance of our microscopic world. The goggles that we are using now are over 15 years old; more importantly, I am concerned with the sterilization of these goggles. It is a struggle to make sure they have been decontaminated.
