Building self-confidence as well as self-esteem is important in becoming a leader today. My students are at the age of discovering who they are and why their backgrounds and choices are important. The novel and supplies chosen for this project include multi-cultural colors that will help them express themselves and work toward being stronger, persevering, and believing in themselves. Continuing to build on their foundation with reading comprehension and self-reflection will help them become the leaders of tomorrow. Using art with literary analysis is an excellent way to help students express what they have learned with various assignments.

About my class
