Students need a creative outlet to express themselves. This is important at any time but especially during the pandemic. This painting will help students advance their knowledge and use of techniques in the Visual Arts. We will use the paint to create a color wheel to learn color theory and brush techniques. Students will then be able to choose a subject of their choice to create their own composition for their painting. My students are more engaged when they get to choose subjects of their choice. Students will already have a base knowledge of drawing, shading, proportions, and composition. If they have a chance to use paint they will be able to further explore visual arts through different media.
