My students have been craving some engaging learning experiences that go beyond the normal laptop and worksheet learning. They truly enjoy interactive hands-on learning experiences, and I believe the resources in my cart can help educate them. My students enjoy looking through my classroom library for books to read on their own or with a pal. The book organizers bins will be used to clean up and arrange my books to be accessed easier for the students. A lot of my students came to school without supplies, or have broken most of their crayons. The box of crayons will be used for student creativity and cultivation whenever they need access to coloring utensils. After spending a portion of their childhood learning on laptops or worksheets, my students are craving authentic, engaging learning experiences. So I'm asking for some supplies to encourage their growing minds in science. The classroom set of Tickle Plants will be used as an interactive unit in growing plants, and how plants can adapt to their environment. What's great about the classroom setting is that each student will receive their plant that they get to keep! I also requested supplies to have a classroom pet. With a classroom pet, I can teach responsibility, animal habitats, and pet care. A lot of my students don't have their pets, and I believe this could be a great opportunity for them to know what it's like to be a pet owner! Also, with their help in actively caring for the classroom pet, they will be ready to take home their Tickle Plant and practice responsibility on their own!
