These models, goggles, and books will continue to enhance the engaging classroom that I strive to create. My classroom is a science lab and is a place that my students really enjoy. We emphasize science safety and now we will each have a pair of goggles that we can use in our experiments. Also, our unit on space is mostly printed text. By including models and games, the students will get a fully immersive experience. With the new books, students will have subject-related material to read during class and of course, they love when I read to them on the carpet! The phrase “children are natural scientists” is one we hear often. Their curiosity and need to make the world a more predictable place certainly drive them to explore and draw conclusions and theories from their experiences.
