My students are constantly offering suggestions on doing more interactive activities with current readings or jazzing up a boring, everyday activity like a worksheet or answering comprehension questions. They love reading interesting stories that apply to their age group. Students will not only enjoy reading Scholastic Scope, but they will also be able to put their suggestions into play. Scope in the classroom will provide my students with engaging, diverse, and motivational reading passages and stories along with interactive activities. Scholastic Scope provides many interactive activities from stories and passages for all levels of students; group exercises, comparison-contrast, diagramming, comprehension questions, games, etc. Also, if a student/class must go virtual, the digital version will be a valuable tool available for them to access at home. Currently, my classroom is furnished with whiteboard tables, however, the supplies are hard to maintain with 120 students utilizing them daily by writing on them with dry-erase markers. Dry erase markers and erasers are required to use the whiteboard tables. With the whiteboard tables, students answer questions, make comparison-contrast charts and diagrams, characterizations, group interaction, play plot battleship (games), and much, much more! Students can use the classroom whiteboard tables with Scholastic Scope activities and have fun while being engaged! Scholastic Scope provides so many educational opportunities for in-class and virtual students. It's not just an educational tool, but it's a fun way to read and explore possibilities!
