Our classes are project-based and include art, music, reading, writing and inveatigating. My students, all of them with special needs, utilize hands on activities, word walls, storyboards, dioramas, etc. to help them understand what they read. Having a supply of materials available to them, they can work to their strengths. Also, having books with characters, fictional and non-fictional, that are relatable to my students will peak their interest in reading, which at times is very difficult for them. They want to learn but just need supplies to assist in their education.
